This project idea is from one of my favorite blogs – Art Projects for Kids. I think the most challenging part of the project for Alex was trying to tear each piece of the masking tape in half (the tape kept sticking onto itself). I ended up holding one end of the tape as he struggled to tear it down the middle from the other end. I then joined the two torn pieces of tapes together according to the instructions. Alex picked the spots where he wanted the “trees” to be and we pressed the tapes down in place together. Instead of using a toothbrush and acrylic paint to apply the colors, he used a regular paintbrush and watercolor. Doesn’t it look beautiful?
Yes, it does look beautiful. Good job, Alex!
