Instead of our regular lessons yesterday, I helped Alex make thank you cards for our family and friends – to thank them for his Christmas gifts. I explained to him that it would be nice to let people know that he appreciates their thoughtfulness. I know it would have been so easy to just send a quick email to say thank you (which we do a lot of times). However, I’ve always appreciated that extra-special gesture of a handwritten note and I think it’s a nice value to instill in our kids, don’t you think so? :-D
P.S. To my mom-in-law who always remembers those special days with a handwritten card or when she just wanted to let us know that she’s thinking of us, thank you! We truly appreciate them!
