Where does the time go? We ask that question a lot in this house. :D To prepare a quick meal, I sometimes resort to pre-cooked/instant ingredients to help reduce cooking time. I am picky about the quality and taste though, so not a lot of these ingredients make it to my kitchen and stay there. Here’s a favorite dish of ours that is easy to whip up on a busy weeknight – so delicious and I didn’t even have to slave for it. It’s almost a crime. :D Enjoy!
1 package spaghetti (we usually use Barilla Whole Grain)
1 or 2 packages Honeysuckle White Turkey Meatballs*
1 or 2 jars Bertolli Pasta Sauce (our favorites are Olive Oil & Garlic and Tomato & Basil)*
Grated Parmesan cheese
* The quantity used depends on how much meatballs and sauce you like with your pasta
Prepare spaghetti according to the package. Drain and remove to a serving/casserole dish. In a medium saucepan, simmer meatballs and sauce together until heated through. Serve hot with spaghetti, sprinkled with Parmesan. If desired, serve pasta with a side of salad and garlic bread. Happy Eating!
You’re absolutely right about time, Chris! I’d do something like that as well when my boys nagged for warm meals at weeknights. After a hard days’ work, I haven’t the time to whip up traditional meals from scratch. I’ve done quorn balls (vegetarian mock meat ) with the spaghetti sauce or pesto sauce and the boys loved them. You’re not the only “criminal” here, Chris. I’m just as “wicked” LOL! Your spagbol platter looks delish :-P
Thanks, Isadora. Glad to hear I’m not the only one. :D
