Happy Anniversary!

So I just arrived home and I stopped at the mailbox to retrieve our mail. I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice golden envelope among the other junk mail. My first instinct was that it’s from my mother-in-law and sure enough, I was right. She usually makes an effort to send out actual cards […]

Happy Chinese New Year

I reminded Alex that it’s Chinese New Year (CNY) tomorrow and he’s pretty excited because that means he’ll be getting an ang pau (a red envelope filled with money) from us. I asked him if he remembers what saying we can use to greet someone during CNY. He replied, “Happy New Year?” Lol. I responded […]

Valentine’s Day Orchid

So Keith got me a pot of orchid for Valentine’s, to add to my jungle of orchids. :) Apparently, he had purchased it last Saturday and managed to hide the orchid until he gave it to me today. Is it weird that it’s driving me crazy not knowing his hiding place? Hahaha. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy New Year!

This photo was taken in July 2017 at Edgewater Park near the location of one of the Cleveland script signs. Every time I look at this picture, it just tugs at my heart string to see how much Alex has grown and the challenges he has overcome in his life. Love this kiddo soooooooo much! […]

Stop and Smell the Roses

We went to Costco a couple of days ago to get some groceries and on our way out, I paused to admire the flowers. I was drawn to the purple roses and on a whim, I asked Keith if we should get it. While I love flowers, I rarely purchase them because I often can’t […]

Dinosaurs at Work

This is just too fabulously cute and awesome to not share with the world. I have a super creative supervisor at work who (I don’t know how) easily comes up with fun and imaginative ideas like this (and more) all the time! This was put together at home and set up inside her work locker […]

Merry Christmas

I would like to share the words from a card we received from my in-laws back at Thanksgiving which I thought was simply poignant and appropriate for any season, regardless if your loved ones are near or far. “The things that matter most of all are often close at hand – A touch, a hug, […]

Three Hours in Akron

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is this Thursday! Where did the time go? So today, Keith and I (among several other parents) volunteered to drive our kids to their counterpart school in Akron for service day. Since our presence was not required in between driving, we took the opportunity to explore the area for food. What […]

Friendship

Our mail carrier delivered a package to our door today. It turned out to be a surprise care package from my wonderful and dearest friend, Bonnie! She had heard, I’m assuming from her husband, who probably heard from Keith how stressed I’ve been these past couple of months (our husbands were housemates back in our […]
