Stir-Fried Shrimp with Asparagus

This is a super quick and exceptionally easy dish to put together! Not only that, it tastes fantastic (that is if you like shrimp and asparagus). :) Enjoy!

2 tablespoons oil (I use vegetable oil or extra light olive oil)
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 pound shrimp (I use frozen tail-on shrimp, thawed)
1 bunch asparagus (about 1-1/2 pounds), ends broken off*, cut on the bias into 1-inch lengths, keeping the tips in a separate pile
1-1/4 teaspoons salt or to taste
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes or to taste

*To remove the tough ends of asparagus, bend the thick end of each stalk until it snaps off.

Heat oil in large pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until golden brown. Add shrimp and the stalk pieces of the asparagus, turn heat up to high, and stir-fry, adding salt and red pepper flakes in the process. When shrimp is almost done, add the tips of the asparagus, continue to cook until shrimp is cooked through. Dish out and serve.
