Garlic Bread

There must be a gazillion garlic bread recipes out there. Who would have thought my favorite would come from the back of a garlic powder bottle? :D This easy recipe (which I’ve used for years) makes an absolutely mouth-watering garlic bread that goes great with any pasta dish or makes a delicious snack. Love it!

Source: McCormick

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
French bread

Mix butter, cheese, oil, and garlic powder together. Spread on slices of French bread; broil until golden brown. Easy-peasy. Enjoy!

  1. Right…. easy peasy :-D and YUM-YUM ! I’ve made these as well, many moons ago, and sprinkle some chopped parsley, but with fresh garlic (pounded in my mini pestle and mortar). Always a winner this bread. Great with minestrone soup. Mmmmm…. :-P

    1. Parsley would go great with it…pretty too. :D

  2. The garlic bread looks tempting, would love to try this!

  3. Hi Chris, today is my 1st time to come across your blog. Love this Garlic bread of yours. I often mix a bottle of chopped garlic, salt and butter and keep in the fridge. Chris, Dietitians and health officers said If possible try not to use any substituted butter spread that made from olive oil or corn oil as the solidifier 转化剂 / 固化剂 is very poisonous !! I used to take corn oil spread from Natural brand. There are too many unknown poison in market and we have no idea of them. I heard of this 转化剂 for months and without knowing it was in my spread until one day a HK program showed that box of spread that I was using, of course they tapped the brand in brown tap but still can see the shape of the box !!The health officer advised all the HK folks to stop using it.
