Flea Market

Went to a local flea market two Saturdays ago. I did not expect to spend as much time as I did there but there were just too many treasures to explore. :) Here are some things that caught my attention but I resisted all of them until the very last item(s) – Time Life Foods of the World cookbooks. The seller had 15 volumes out of the original 27, and each volume had both the hardcover main book and the spiral bound recipe booklet in excellent condition. And lucky me, I paid $15 for that whole box. *Big grin* The hard part now is being patient and having faith that I’ll come across the rest of the series sometime in my life (lol) without having to turn to eBay.

  1. Chris: what #s are you missing in the world recipes books? We can check out local flea markets occasionally.

    1. I would appreciate that. Thanks!!! I’ll text you the list. :)

  2. Wow! You certainly have a “top quality” flea Market. Our flea markets are comprised of junk items that no one wants. Love the tea sets but the price is a little daunting. I guess if I used it frequently I’d buy something like that. However…it wouldn’t be worth it for one person’s use. Glad that you enjoyed your visit.

    1. I thought some prices were too high for a flea market…then again, I’m cheap. :) But there were things that were a really good deal like the books I bought for instance. You really have to sniff out the bargains and that’s the fun part of going to a flea market (at least for me). I wish Keith and Alex could have come with me but Alex was still sick and Keith stayed home with him. It was a little lonely without them.
