Easy and Delicious Sliders

I saw a similar recipe a while back but did not give it a try until a couple of months ago when I was reminded by a co-worker. Since then, I have made my version of this recipe multiple times because it is so ridiculously easy that I’m not sure it should even be considered a recipe! Just use whatever your heart desires and wow – an almost instantaneous delicious meal! Not only that, it’s simply addictive, you won’t be able to stop yourself from reaching for another – super scary! (Don’t say I didn’t warn you). Enjoy!

1 package (bought ours at Costco so it has 16 rolls instead of 12 per package) King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Light mayonnaise
Dijon mustard
Thinly sliced deli meat (I used leftover Christmas ham here)
Thinly sliced cheese (I used Swiss)
3 to 4 tablespoons butter, melted
¼ teaspoon or more garlic powder
½ teaspoon or more Dijon mustard

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment or aluminum foil. Remove rolls from package but do not separate them. Cut the entire loaf of rolls in half. Remove the top half and set aside. Place the bottom half on the sheet pan and spread the top of the bottom half with mayo and Dijon mustard, as much or as little as you would prefer. Then, place meat, followed by cheese on the rolls (I do try to keep the meat and cheese individually portioned within each roll since the rolls will be pulled apart when served). Replace the top of the rolls.

In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, garlic powder, and additional Dijon mustard, if desired. Brush on top of the rolls and the sides. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted and the top is browned and toasty. Dive in!

  1. It really does look addictive. For us I’d have to use half of the rolls. Great idea!

    1. We probably should use only half the rolls as well since we have absolutely no self-control. :)

  2. Ooooh that looks yum! I love the look of the melty cheese. Thanks for the recipe. Xoxo

    1. Keith and I ate them all. Yikes! :)
